Registration for Brian's Gift Road Race is now closed. Enjoy the race if you can make it, and registration will re-open in summer.

The fifth annual Brian's Gift Road Race will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Each year a beneficiary is chosen by Brian's family that we feel would be important to Brian. This year the race proceeds will be used to provide holiday food baskets to Ashburnham and Westminster MA families in need. We chose this in memory of Brian's love of Christmas and gift giving.

THE RACE
- 4.5 mile road race (runners and walkers welcome!)
-The race course is along country roads with a moderate hill making it a great race for both walkers and
runners!
-Race timing by Tri-State Racing. (Only participants as runners in the road race will be timed)
-Race time: Walkers 10:30am; runners 11:00am
-Starting point: 12 Memorial Drive, Ashburnham, MA...behind the town hall in the center of town

THE DIVISIONS
Men's : 12-25; 26-45; 46+
Women's: 12-25; 26-45; 46+

FEES & REGISTRATION
-Registration begins at 9am
-Registration fee: $12 pre-registration; $15 at the race

THE PRIZES
- $200 cash prize for overall winner
- division winner prizes
-The overall winner is excluded from the division prize which will be given to the next place finisher of that
division.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
-Chinese/silent auctions; 50/50 raffle
-Face Painting and kids games
-Food - hamburgers/hot dogs etc
-Apple Sale
-DJ
-Scarecrow decorating contest sponsored by the Ashburnham Lion's Club
-Have your nails painted by Sallee's nails
-Have you hair corn rolled

SCARECROW DECORATING CONTEST DETAILS:
-Skeletion consisting of body/arm posts and plain milk cardon head will be procided
-Leaves, hay, rope will be available to use
-Bring clothing, paints, hats, gloves etc to complete the scarecrow
-Cash prize for the Best Scarecrow
-Entry forms available at the race; fee is $10
-Family units, individuals, husbands/wives, best friends encouraged to take part

SPAGHETTI SUPPER SPONSORED BY THE ASHBURNHAM LION'S CLUB
-Sept 25th 5-7PM (the night before the race...load up on you carbs!)
-American Legion Hall, 132 Williams Rd, Ashburnham
-$7 adults; $3.50 children under 12

-2006 Kid's Against Hunger - $5000 (20,000 meals provided to hungry children in Kenya)
